The Order of Inca parade rolled through downtown Mobile on Friday evening, drawing a big crowd despite chilly conditions. See images of the revelry in the accompanying gallery.
The Mobile Police Department estimated that a crowd of 50,688 turned out. Police responded to 13 complaints and cited one adult for jumping the barricades. Two adults were arrested on misdemeanor charges. Police wrote 135 parking tickets and 13 vehicles were towed.
On Saturday, Feb. 15, the Mobile Mystics parade on Route A in Mobile, followed by the Mobile Mystical Revelers and Mystical Friends. At 6:30 p.m. the Knights of Ecor Rouge parade in Fairhope; at the same time in Mobile the Maids of Mirth parade on Route G, followed by the Order of Butterfly Maidens and the Krewe of Marry Mates.
