More than 900 residents joined together on Saturday, Oct. 12, for the fifth annual iRun for BYOT 5K & Fun Run at Shiloh Point Elementary School.

The Forsyth BYOT Benefit was created by Dr. Jim and Peggie Morrow of Morrow Family Medicine to provide internet and technology devices to students in Forsyth County schools without access to those resources, and the charity holds two fundraising events a year: a golf tournament in May, and the iRun in October. Those events have raised more than $300,000 in six years.

Saturday’s participation was the most to date for the event, which featured a winning performance by Jack Moran in 18 minutes 31 seconds, and a $4,000 check presentation by the Sawnee Cumming Optimist Club.
